WINEMAKING NOTES

This wine was made from grapes grown on both the stony, sandy terrace of the vineyard and the heavier upper terrace.
The grapes were cold soaked for around 5 days then fermented. The resulting wine was then aged for 12 months in French Oak barrels, 40% new.
This blend is43% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec.

TASTINGS NOTES

A deep, complex, brooding nose of graphite, macerated fruits and completely integrated, fine oak. Supple yet structured, classic yet robust, there is a finesse on the palate that almost hides the power of this wine that ends with impressive length. This wine will reward careful cellaring but can be enjoyed young. Pair with robust, hearty dishes.
