2015 Syrah

WINEMAKING NOTES
The fruit for this wine was handpicked, destemmed then cold soaked prior to fermentation with wild yeast. The wine was then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, 30% new.

TASTING NOTES

Vibrant blue purple colour.  Snappy aromatic characters of crushed rosemary, violet and a savoury toasty complexity.  The delicate perfume on the nose is in part due to a small percentage of viognier (2.5%) in the blend.  The palate is mid weight with a bright fresh acid structure and supple tannin.  Enjoy now as a red wine match to spicy and aromatic dishes such as Moroccan lamb.
