This wine was made from grapes grown on both the stony, sandy lower terrace of the vineyard and the heavier upper terrace.

The grapes were cold soaked for 7 days then fermented. The wine was then aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, 15% new

TASTING NOTES

A single varietal expression of Cabernet Franc off our       Havelock North vineyard. Red and black berry fruits of raspberry and black currant provide varietal direction on the nose. Jasmine flower and sinewy oak provide extra aromatic interest. The palate is broad and generous but with a sappy streak providing foil and structure
