The fruit for this wine was grown on the lower terraces of Askerne Vineyard. It was hand harvested on 3 April 2014.
100% of the juice was barrel fermented in 10% New American Oak barrels and 90% 1-3 year old French American and Hungarian barrels.

A bold and rich Hawke’s Bay Viognier in a barrel fermented style. Fruit notes of apricot and ripe citrus are to the fore with complex notes of vanilla and toast also present. The palate is very broad and dry with apricot and almond flavours. The finish is very long and pure with excellent balance.
