The fruit for this wine was grown on the lower terraces of Askerne Vineyard. It was hand harvested on 5 May 2012. 100% of the juice was barrel fermented (50% 1 year old barrels and 50% 2 year old).

Aromas of tropical fruit and rock melon dominate on the nose with hints of pear and tangelo on a back drop of smoky oak. This is an elegant wine with peach, pear, rock melon and mineral notes. Well balanced and yet firm this wine will suit a wide range of dishes. Some cellaring may benefit this wine. Drink 2013 to 2018. Serve with poultry dishes, salad and seafood.
