WINEMAKING NOTES

The fruit for this wine was grown on the stony, sandy lower terrace of Askerne Vineyard.

The fruit was hand harvested, sorted then destemmed and crushed. A short fermentation followed which was stopped by the addition of alcohol. The wine was then aged in older French oak barriques for twelve months.

TASTING NOTES

Seductive aromas of chocolate and spice with plum and berry fruit on the nose follow through into the palate which features sweet berry fruit, chocolate and marshmallow flavours supported by a velvety array of cassis and raspberries.

Enjoy this luscious dessert wine on its own or match with strong cheeses or a decadent, dark chocolate based dessert.
