The fruit for this wine was grown on the upper terrace at Askerne Vineyard and is predominantly Clone 14 Semillon. It was hand harvested and sorted on 30/04/2010 at an average 22 brix. The wine was fermented and aged on its lees in French oak barriques 33% new, 33% 1 year and 34% older oak for 9 months.

Lemon, lime and orange blossom aromas on the nose combine with lingering lemon and granny smith apple characters on the palate. This is a crisp, zingy wine that will develop honeyed characters as it ages.
An excellent accompaniment for fish and shellfish.
