2009 MERLOT FRANC MALBEC

WINEMAKING NOTES

This wine was made from grapes grown on both the stony, sandy lower terrace of the vineyard and the heavier upper terrace. The varietal mix was 46% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Franc, 16 % Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. The fruit was hand harvested between 8th and 27th April 2009 and sorted. It was destemmed and crushed, then macerated and fermented in tanks. The wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barriques.
