2008 RESERVE GEWURZTRAMINER
WINE MAKING NOTES
The fruit for this wine was predominantly grown on the lower terrace of Askerne Vineyard in light, sandy, silty soils. The wine was made from 28% clone 1106 and 56% mixed clones of Gewurztraminer. The fruit was hand harvested and sorted. The grapes were harvested between 28th March and 1st April 2008. Part of the pick was crushed and destemmed and given skin contact. 85 % of the juice was tank fermented and 15% was fermented and aged in old French oak barriques for 10 months.

TASTING NOTES
This wine has limes, tropical fruit and spice with floral characters on the nose. The palate is well balanced with good texture and a long lingering sweet fruit finish. The perfect match for Asian foods particularly Thai, Sichuan and Cantonese.
