WINEMAKING NOTES
The fruit for this wine was predominantly grown on the upper terrace of Askerne Vineyard. The wine was made from seven clones of Gewurztraminer. The fruit was hand harvested and sorted between 31st March 2nd and 5th April 2008. Part of the pick was crushed and destemmed and given skin contact. 85 % of the juice was tank fermented and 15% was fermented and aged in old French oak barriques for 10 months.
