2007 DESSERT CABERNET
WINEMAKING NOTES
The fruit for this wine was grown on the upper terrace of Askerne Vineyard. The vines were harvested between 23rd May to 8th June 2007 with bunches selected for a heavy botrytis infection. Brix levels for the various picks ranged from 45 to 55 brix. The wine was aged in French oak barriques for 24 months (25% new, 25 % one year old).

TASTING NOTES
Complex citrus, stone fruit and marzipan characters on the nose follow through into the dense, richly textured palate to produce this luscious dessert wine. A wonderful partner for strong cheeses.
