WINEMAKING NOTES
This wine was made from grapes grown on the stony, sandy lower terrace of the vineyard.
The varietal mix was 43% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 5 % Malbec.
It was destemmed and crushed, then macerated and fermented in tanks. The wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barriques, 47 % new and the balance one year and older.

TASTING NOTES
Deep red with violet hues.
Fruit notes of blackcurrant, black plum and raspberry. Additional aromatic lift comes from woody florals and a ‘bouquet garni’ culinary herb nuance. The fruit is supported by super fine French oak which has integrated with the fruit characters and contributed a subtle vanilla and spice note.
The palate is all charm with lovely fruit weight, well aligned acid/ tannin balance and a focused long finish. A wine of sophistication and underlying power.
