2023 Serieux Rosé

Aromas of sweet red cherry then yellow plum, suggestions of strawberry and pomegranate and fragrant roses. Lifted, bright, fresh and youthful. On the palate a youthful touch with a light chalky acid-line texture then core of red berry flavours that reflect the bouquet. There’s a light wet stone mineral quality and pure fruit coating. Well made, needs a little time to settle with best drinking from January 1st 2024 through end of summer 2026.

2023 Sauvignon Blanc

A distinctive bouquet with aromas of yellow apple, hay and gooseberry. There’s a layer of pineapple and mango then a clay mineral quality. A ready to drink expression with a softness of fruit and contrasting acid line. Balanced and ready with best drinking from day of purchase through 2025.

2023 Reserve Chardonnay

A distinctive bouquet with scents of apple and apricot, a mix of fruit and barrel spices, peach, and a definitive fine lees quality adding breadth and complexity. A silky-cream texture touches the palate first then barrel and fruit spices follow with vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. As the wine opens out in glass the flavours of peach and quince, apple and grapefruit emerge. Fine tannins, medium+ acid line, core fruit flavours are contrasted by the lees and barrel work leading to a lengthy finish. Best drinking from 2024 through 2028+.

2023 Viognier

Ripe, fruity, floral, delicate spices and varietal bouquet of peach and nectarine apricot and yellow apple. Lovely weight and creaminess as the wine touches the palate, medium acidity with a satin texture. Some fine tannins add mouthfeel with the core fruit flavours driving the flavours and overall appeal. A definitive alternative to Chardonnay, balanced, well made and ready to drink from 2024 through 2027.

2022 Merlot

Ripe and fruity, youthful with a varietal core of plums and red currants, there’s a lovely wood smoke scent and stony mineral quality adding complexity and depth. A mix of fruit and wood tannins frame the fruit flavours nicely adding mouthfeel and breadth, the acid line keeps the fruit and palate fresh. A lovely dry wine with food friendly attributes and readiness to drink from today and through 2029.

92 Points – Premium

2023 Syrah

Varietal and fruity with a  core of redberries and plums, raspberry and spices of clove and a lick pepper. Dry with moderate tannins impact, medium+ acid line and flavours that reflect the boquuet. Well made and ready to drink from 2024 through 2027.

2021 Reserve Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec

An excellent bouquet and palate with aromas and flavours of blackberry and dark plum fruits, black olive and chocolate, smoky wood, plenty of lees and textures from tannins and acidity. A dry wine with a core of dark red berry fruits, blackberry in the lead, a lick of cigar tobacco is accentuated by firm tannins that have a polish adding a great mouthfeel tempered by the acid line and core fruit drive. Well made, lengthy and ready to drink from mid 2025 through 2030+. Also, an excellent food wine option.

2020 ‘Noble Kathryn’ Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Aromas and flavours of roasted pears and baked apples, flavours on the palate reflect this along with sweet grapefruit and waxy lemon rind. Acidity contrast the sweetness and weight, there’s a creamy textures and flavours of cinnamon and clove spices. Delicious, fresh, balanced and well made with a lengthy finish. What’s not to like, a delicious wine with best drinking from 2023 through 2030.
